1 - How much will it cost me to join / come back to BT?
It is now FREE to come back to BT*
*Free Reconnection is available to homes previously connected to a BT line on which telephone service has been
provided to a customer. It applies to the reactivation of the original BT line to the home, including the BT
entry point, inside BT network wiring and phone jack at the original location prior to disconnection of BT services.
For those customers whose line was disconnected because they owed BT money, a charge of £66.11 applies.
If however, you do not already have a BT line and some or all external wiring has to be provided or brought into
use for the first time, connection is £99 or £49.50 inc VAT with BT Together. If in doubt Freefone 0800 400 437

2 - What do I have to do to join / come back to BT?

3 - Can I bring my telephone number with me?

4 - If I owe BT money from previously, can I still reconnect?
Yes, for those customers whose line was disconnected because they owed BT money, a charge of £66.11
will apply. You must also settle any outstanding payments.
5 - Will I be better off with BT?
We've been working hard to ensure we offer the best possible value for money and a recent survey
published by independent auditors Deloitte and Touche found that BT phone bills are up to 18% cheaper than
those of cable phone companies NTL, Telewest Communications and Cable and Wireless.

6 - How do BT prices compare with other telephone companies?
We believe that we're highly competitive with other telecommunications companies, which was recently proved
by a survey published by independent auditors Deloitte and Touche. They found that BT phone bills are up to 18% cheaper

7 - Can I get free calls with BT?
With our all -in-one monthly package BT Together, you can get up to 200 free minutes of local evening or
weekend call time every month, to use as you wish.
8 - I use the Internet a lot - what can BT offer me?
Make the Internet faster and more fun, get a spare line so you can use the phone line to access the net and
make calls - get converted to Home Highway. With BT Together Home Highway is half price - £49.59 inc VAT
There's also great news if you surf the net with BT Together. If you nominate your Service Provider as your BestFriend
number, you can now do it for less than 50p an hour at evenings and weekends.
And now you can order SurfTime - the new way to surf the Internet without paying call charges.
9 - The phone is always in use when I want to make a call?
Why not get an additional line, two people can make different calls at the same time, use the phone and get
on-line too or you could use your extra line for a fax machine - you'll be amazed how much easier it is to stay in touch.
10 - What can BT offer in terms of On-line services?
On BT.com you can view and pay your bill, change your Friends & Family numbers, find out about BT's products
and services, order on-line, find phone numbers and send messages to us directly. |
